Ideas and sketches for my photoshoot

Over the last couple of weeks I have been sketching ideas for my studio and location photo shoot. I have taken a snapshot of these sketches and attached them below with a brief description. Now I have to decide which one I will go ahead with.

This was my first idea, I came up with this idea after a walk with my teenage daughter through our local park. We were having a discussion on how much she has changed, physically and emotionally over the past year. How life experiences have allowed her to grow as her own person. I thought this image would demonstrate how a child moves from childhood to adolescence and how it should be embraced not a taboo subject and how many parents are scared to appraoch or embrace as their babies are no longer their baby. These children are becoming their own person and it is something to be celebrated. The image above is set in the valley, trees surrounding her and also present in the distant background, almost cradling and protecting her (the model). The model is lay asleep on the ground, looking peaceful. With a double exposure or slow shutter speed I would create another image of the model then sat up in the same spot, looking down at her childhood figure, ready to move on and embrace adulthood but not before one last look to reflect on her wonderful childhood.

This idea is probably better for the on location assignment. Inspired by a conversation I had with my tutor Bill this image consists of a model in front of a red brick wall. The model would be preferably a topless male in jeans and looking quite rugged. There would be graffiti on the wall behind him with discriminative remarks. The wall, including the remarks would be seen through the models body, almost etched onto his torso. This idea represents the idea that discrimination is etched on us all whether we like it or not. I personally would like to celebrate the diversity of the human race so maybe the model would have a smirk, as if to say, who cares...I AM DIFFERENT!
Inspired by an artist by the name of Heike, I came across his work during my research on Equality and diversity. The images consist of two objects/symbols..a shadow and a pair of shoes. The examples that I have seen where created on location eg. swimming poolside
I will be creating this in a studio environment so if I go ahead with this idea I will have to produce a shoot plan to work out how the final image would be achieved. What lighting would I need to create a similar shadow given from the midday sun? Would I composite a fake background in photoshop or leave the background High Key white to enhance the shoes and shadow? I love this idea. I would use this to represent the well known phrase " Put yourself in their shoes" which I think is rather apt for the subject it would be representing, Equality.

The above image has two more ideas: The top image is of two men sat on opposite ends of a park bench. The man on your left is an older man, dressed in the stereotypical, flat cap and tweed jacket holding a walking stick. A signified to tell the viewer this gentleman is of old age. The man on your right had no ID. This figure would be dressed in jeans, trainers and a hooded sweatshirt. The sweatshirt hood up over his head would create a shadow over his face hiding his identity. I  would have an image below this. In the image below, the composition would be the same but this time the hoody would have his identity revealed with his hood down. The viewers would be then able to see that this gentleman was also a man of old age. My goal is for the viewers to assume that in the first image the poor old man is sat on a bench with a hoody and at threat in some kind of way. The second image reveals that this hoody is another eldery man. Demonstrating that they and so many others have assumed that ALL hoodys are a threat and bad news.
The sketch below the bench sketch is the idea of the morph suits. I have gone in to a lot of detail on my mind map regarding this sketch so please scroll down to read in further detail....

Handprint tree: the idea behind this is that everyone is created on this planet. Everyone feeds and breathes from the earth and thus al .should be equal no matter how different they are to the next individual. Leaves on a tree are similar,  thay are all created from the same tree, the tree that grows from the rich soil but leaves are different and unique. Handprints in different colour,s shapes and sizes would represent this in the human race. The growth, strength and brightness of the tree is symbolizing this whole concept and celebrating the diversity of the human race and equality.

Mind Mapping:
In one of Johns lessons we participated in a mind map exercise. Each member of the class sat at a desk in a circle, positioned with our backs to each other. We were given a large sheet of paper and in the centre of that we had to put one of our ideas we had in mind for our Equality studio shoot. Once we put our idea on paper we would pass it to the person on the right. The idea was for that person to add/contirbute to your idea, thus expanding on the original idea.  The below image is what my mind map looked like when it finally ended back on my table.
I found this task to be very useful. It allowed me to approach my idea from a different point of view and approach questions that sviewer may ask when looking at my final image. I did find a few comments to be useless and quite negative.
It was good to see questions that I had already asked myself, eg. body pose, how would religion, sexuality etc be conveyed? The bodies would be entwined, this would show two different people (yellow and purple) embracing each other and their differences.
How would sexuality, religions, age and gender be conveyed? It wouldnt, that is my whole point. These two beings are different (this is represented by their colour) to the viewers eye they cannot judge them by their race, religion or sexual preference etc as that identity is not revealed, the viewer is only accepting two beings embracing each other and accepting that. Each being is equal.
