Only Colour.......

Over the last seven days I have captured and created images containing one colour or mainly one colour.  The color I chose was Gold & Green. I chose these colours as they are two of my favourite colours along with purple (which Ive also thrown in if you can spot it). I thought it was relevent given the time of year when spring begins to merge with summer, lots of fresh new greenery appearing with the golden hues lingering from winter.

To add to the concept I thought I would try shooting in the golden hours, an hour or so before sunset. his would allow to to create a more magical atmosphere, highlighting the natural beauty of the sping and summer seasons.

The mighty green giant!
I got up close and personal to the foliage on this grand tree as I wanted to capture the soft golden glow of sunlight on the rich green leaves.

ALL my favourite colours x
I purposely added a textured layer onto this image in photoshop to enhance the rustic/vintage feel. The lens flare adds to this too which I placed my camera purposely into an angle that would capture this. I think it it creates a feeling that the the blades of grass and bluebells are reaching up to the sun, trying to grab the last bit of daylight before the dusk set in.

Were going on a bear hunt......

I love the halo that has been created by using the sun to create some back light. Again the glow from the golden hour and the purposely caught lens flare creates a warmth to this image, a GOLDEN hue. The light in the foreground qith the dark tones in the background help to create depth in this image.

Flare

I originally aimed the camera to capture the different tones of greens created from the sunlight shining through the leaves but managed to capture this beautiful flare. Strangely enough it has a green tint to it too.
Again, the theme being green and gold

Up

I caught my daughter looking at a flock of birds in the sky. Evies porcelain skin against the golden backdrop makes her look angelic x

A is for.......

This is the image I was referring to in the flare,  I love the way the sunlight creates different shadesd of green through the various angled leaves. I think the image being backlit creates great depth.
Oh and can you spot the letter A???

Trailing Ivy
I love the texture on the bark of the tree and how the leading line of Ivy takes your eyes up, suggesting the great height of the tree its clinging on to.
